FBI Top 10 fugitive could be in Jacksonville

A suspected sexual predator on the FBI’s top 10 most wanted list could be in Jacksonville.

Greg Carlson, 47, was spotted in the Mount Pleasant area of South Carolina two weeks ago.

It was the first confirmed sighting of the fugitive since he was seen in Jacksonville in November 2017.

He was seen driving a 2017 white Hyundai Accent rental car with South Carolina license plate NKI-770.

Carlson also uses the aliases Greg A. Carlson and Greg Alym Carlson.

He is described as 5’11” and weighing 170 pounds with brown and graying hair and green eyes.

The FBI said Carlson could be anywhere in the southeast and they are asking the community to be on the lookout.

Along with Florida, Carlson may be traveling in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama or Texas.

Investigators said they have not ruled out that Carlson could have now crossed the border.

On Sept. 27, Carlson was the 520th fugitive to be named to the FBI’s List of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.

The FBI said he was added to the list because he is considered an enemy to the public and the agency believes his violence may escalate.

Carlson is accused of sexually assaulting multiple women at gunpoint. Investigators said he has beaten some of the women severely.

The FBI said he should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered in exchange for information leading to the arrest of Carlson.

If you have information, the FBI is asking you contact the nearest FBI office or local law enforcement agency.
