MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — Clay County residents should be prepared for a traffic shift in January, 2023.

The Florida Department of Transportation issued a traffic alert planned on southbound First Coast Expressway (State Road 23) on the night of Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023. This will take place just north of Blanding Boulevard (State Road 21).
Traffic will be shifted to the inside temporary pavement to help road crews. The roadway and off-ramp to Blanding Boulevard will be under construction.
The speed limit will also be reduced to 50 miles per hour through the work zone.

Traffic is expected to shift back to normal the following day.
