FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — A former Fernandina Beach high student is using social media to fight back against those who bullied him.
He posted a picture on social media, saying he was bullied in high school and says people started making and selling shirts with his face on it to mock him.
One woman says bulling is a tough topic to talk about especially when kids get older.
“No one wants it to happen, but it's hard to stop,” said Claire Ross.
The former student who said he was bulled also posted to Facebook, “We need to see, as people, that bullying is a big problem in schools. I want my story to open up parents' eyes To see that this is a real problem.”

Parent Troy Ross agrees it’s a topic that needs to be discussed to help stop bullying.
“Usually, people who bully people aren't happy people,” said Ross.
Action News Jax went to the Nassau County school board to see what’s being done about this issue. They said they are aware of what’s going on and so are the resource officers at Fernandina Beach High School.
They say there is an open investigation.
