Fire destroys house in Lake Asbury

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A woman suffered minor injuries in a fire at her home in Clay County.

The fire happened just after 6 a.m. at a home on Arthur Moore Drive in Lake Asbury.

Clay County Fire Rescue said the smoke detector alerted the woman who lived in the home.

Firefighters said the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the living room.  Crews had the fire under control within minutes of their arrival.

Firefighters believe the fire was an accident.

The woman received minor injuries.
