- Flood watch in effect for areas along the coast.
- Coastal flood advisory for the St. Johns River Basin from noon today until Thursday morning.
- Local nor’easter begins today
- Winds increase off the Atlantic through the day.
- Minor to nearly moderate coastal, ICWW, and St. Johns River basin flooding at high tides is possible beginning tonight through late week.
- High tides of +1.5 -2.5′ above the normal high tide are likely.
- Winds pick up today and Wednesday.
- Coastal hazards will begin to increase late Tuesday as onshore winds pick up today.
- High risk of rip currents.
- High surf that could cause some beach erosion.
- Higher tides due to the approaching new moon + strengthening onshore winds.
- Gusty winds of 20-30 mph this afternoon will strengthen to 30-40+ mph Wednesday.
- Additional rain totals of 4-7″ of rain are possible this week in many local neighborhoods in NE Florida and Coastal SE Georgia.
- 2-3+ inches of additional rain are possible for Inland SE Georgia.
TROPICS
- Invest 92L is in the southwest Gulf/Bay of Campeche.
- This has a high chance of becoming our next tropical system.
- The next name is ISAIAS (pronounced ees-ah-EE-ahs).
- Model guidance carries the system northward/northeastward toward the Gulf coast, potentially as a named storm late this week/over the weekend.
- We will continue to monitor around the clock.
