DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — Crews responded to a gas leak Friday at a store in a strip mall on Baymeadows Road.
Firefighters said a valve on a small underground gas tank broke off behind the strip mall in the 9500 block of Baymeadows Road near Old Baymeadows Road.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said people in one of the stores were evacuated while crews work to fix the leak. The leak is not causing any other disruptions to people or traffic.
JFRD said no one is in danger as crews work to burn off the gas. Sawyer Gas was also called to the scene.
