Black Panther 2 movie to be filmed in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — A Marvel Studios movie is set to be filmed in our neck of the woods.

Kimoyo Productions II LLC. is set to film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at the Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick, Georgia.

Commissioners announced the permit agreement between the City of Brunswick and the movie production company on Wednesday during a Board of Commissioners’ meeting. The park will be closed on Friday, Oct. 22 through Monday, Nov. 8.

Action News Jax reported earlier this week that the release of the Black Panther sequel would be pushed back from July 2022 to November 2022.

Action News Jax reported in July when another production team filmed in Glynn County.

A scene from the new Netflix series, “Pieces of Her,” was filmed in Glynn County on Mallery Street. That series will star Academy Award-nominated actress Toni Collette, Australian actress Bella Heathcote, David Wenham, Jessica Barden, Joe Dempsie, Jacob Scipio, and Omari Hardwick.

The city of Brunswick said film crews are looking for extras to be in the movie. You must be willing to be tested for COVID-19 and be available between October 30th to November 2nd. For details click HERE.
