Boselli will be the first Jaguars player ever to make it into the HOF. His family said he worked incredibly hard to make this happen.

Family members of Boselli tell Action News Jax he’s always had the drive, determination and work ethic to become a great football player. Now, he goes from being 71 on the field to 71 forever in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“Outstanding, he has values, put it in front of him and he will give 110% if not more, every time,” his stepmother Carla Boselli said.

The effort Boselli gave piled up accolades of five Pro Bowls and three First-Team All-Pro selections. Being in the game forever is something his family members waited a long time for.

“It gives you goosebumps every time you talk about it and I’m so very proud,” she said. “We were a little worried because we were up four years, five years but when this came up we were like yes, finally!”

His step-mother said his talent has always been next level.

“I would pass up tropical vacations to go watch him play football,” she said.

Half-sisters Lauren and Elizabeth Boselli say number 71 at home is just Tony.

“He’s always been a role model, big brother, always proud of him. The big brother side is what nobody else gets to see,” Lauren Boselli said.

“He would come home from his games and let us try his helmet on,” Elizabeth Boselli said.

His family members say a lot of the guidance in Tony’s life came from his father who recently died from cancer. They say they know his dad is looking down and smiling.

“We’re all very, very proud of him and I think his father is beaming down smiling, shining and is here in spirit, wishing he could be here physically,” Carla Boselli said.
