JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad said it did not find an explosive device after investigating reports of a suspicious package at the Walgreens on Normandy Boulevard near Memorial Park Road.
JSO said an employee found a package in the men's bathroom and heard a sound.

Lt. King tells us that employees heard a loud noise and an hour later someone found the suspicious item in the men’s bathroom.

The employee saw someone suspicious going into and leaving the bathroom, so JSO was called to investigate and the store was evacuated.
Investigators found an empty cardboard box and some damage to the toilet and said they are positive it is not an explosive device.
JSO said if anyone who has any information about who left the package is asked to call 904-630-0500.

JSO responded and evacuated the building and surrounding area. The bomb squad was called as well as JFRD intelligence division. The bomb squad has discovered an empty cardboard box and some damage to a toilet but are positive it is not an explosive device.
