JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was recovering at the hospital Monday morning after police said he was shot after an argument Sunday night. It happened at about 9:32 p.m. in the 9500 block of 103rd Street on Jacksonville’s Westside.
The victim was having an argument with his girlfriend’s ex-husband which was followed by “a brief scuffle,” a Jacksonville police news release states.
After the fight, “the ex-husband walked to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and shot the boyfriend,” the news release states. The victim, a man in his late 40’s, was shot in the thigh and was listed in stable condition, police said.
Officers are now searching for the ex-husband. Police did not release the names of the victim or the suspect.
