Police say the son of a murdered woman is not considered a suspect in that case, despite his arrest.
Andrew Lamb was arrested on drug charges the day after his mother and uncle, Sharon and Michael Lamb, were found dead Tuesday night in a Westside home.
Andrew Lamb made his first court appearance on drug charges Thursday morning.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the deaths as a double murder.
Police say they found 10 hydrocodone tablets inside the master bedroom of the home where Andrew Lamb was staying.
A family friend says she once lived with Sharon Lamb and doesn’t know anyone who would want to hurt the family.
“It’s a sad, sad situation, you know?” she said.
In Andrew Lamb's arrest report, it does say that a safe that had been in the home was missing.
Police also say Lamb, a woman named Angela Craigo, the victim’s mother and the victims were the only ones who knew where the safe was.
But JSO said Lamb is not a suspect in the deaths of his mother and uncle.
We did some checking into his background and learned this isn’t the first time he’s been arrested.
His arrests include traffic violations and an arrest for battery where police say he hit his mother and threw her to the ground.
