Jacksonville police: Man caught by FHP trooper after attempted bank robbery at Wells Fargo on West Edgewood Avenue

Jacksonville — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said units are at the Wells Fargo on West Edgewood Avenue for a reported bank robbery.

The Sheriff’s Office said a man gave a note to a Wells Fargo bank teller demanding money.

An off duty Florida Highway Patrol trooper was inside the bank, went behind the man and arrested him.

The man didn’t have any weapons on him and didn’t fight the FHP trooper, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
