JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said gang detectives located a suspicious vehicle and tried stopping the vehicle.
The vehicle rear-ended the JSO vehicle and three teens jumped out of the SUV, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

One teen was holding a gun and ran west, stopped, turned toward the officers, and according to JSO, Detective Johnson then fired his gun and missed.
The suspect ran, tripped and fell into a ditch, police said.
JSO said the vehicle the suspects were driving was a Hyundai Kona and was stolen Dec. 9.
The Sheriff’s Office said all the suspects are 18-years-old.
No injuries were reported, according to JSO.
JSO told Action News Jax this is Detective Johnson’s third police-involved shooting. He is an 18 year veteran with the Sheriff’s Office.
The teens were arrested and charges are pending, according to JSO.
