In less than 24 hours, tickets will go on sale for the Rolling Stones concert.
Action News Jax first reported, earlier this month, when the legendary rock band announced a local tour stop in April.
Action News Jax reporter Courtney Cole explains how fan turnout for this show could affect Jacksonville’s ability to host more big events in the future.
"Even though we might be a little bit of a smaller market, we know we can deliver unlike any other city!" exclaimed Chad Johnson, the chief content officer for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This is the attitude Johnson said helped Jacksonville snag a stop on the Rolling Stones No Filter Tour 2019.

"Since the day Shad Khan brought this team. he's challenged us. Not just the employees who work here, but everyone in Jacksonville. Why can we think big and be the best?! "
Johnson said part of being the best means having the best in entertainment.
“This is the second stage in that evolution. Labor Day weekend, we had Lynyrd Skynyrd with Jason Aldean and Kid Rock, and we did great! And the industry started to pay attention. And that's what made the Rolling Stones management pay attention to us,” Johnson told Action News Jax.
Johnson said a show like this could make Jacksonville more enticing for other big-name acts.
"When @Jaguars Shad [Khan] can step in w/ this 'pioneering' mindset & his financial resources, and add to the resources that already exist with COJ & SMG--we know we can have a home run!" - Chad Johnson, Jags Chief Content Officer #RollingStones #NoFilterTour2019 @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/wNgDLlxkjA

Ultimately, he hopes it could also attract more tourists to the city as well.
"The closest venue to the north of us is Washington, D.C., and the closest venue to the west is Houston. All of those fans are going to be coming down to Jacksonville and we're going to get to showcase what a great city this is!"
Johnson told Action News Jax, “This is our chance as a city to show that we belong right up there with the Chicagos, the New Yorks, Houstons and the LAs that are a part of this tour.”
If you want to see more acts like this, Johnson said: Buy your tickets!
"When these tickets go on sale and we sell out this building, every big-name act is going to have to look to Jacksonville as a must-stop."
Tickets go on-sale Friday, Nov 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Arena box office and online at Ticketmaster.com.
