JSO: Bodies of couple found inside Panama Park home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a couple was found decomposed in a home on East 61st Street.

STORY: Car crashed into FPL substation, knocks out neighborhood power

According to detectives, on Tuesday at around 6 p.m., JSO patrol along with members of JFRD were called to conduct a welfare check. upon entering the home, a man and woman were both found dead in the late stages of decomposition.

The JSO Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and are conducting their respective investigations. At this time, it is unknown whether foul play is expected. Both individuals were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office where autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
