JSO: Man dead after being shot multiple times in Lake Forest

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a deadly shooting on Palmdale Street.

According to detectives, at approximately 1:05 a.m., officers responded to the scene and located an unidentified = man with multiple gunshot wounds, lying on the ground in a parking lot. Personnel from Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department transported the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

The crime scene is secured and crime scene investigators have been notified.

Detectives from JSO’s Crime Scene Unit, Homicide Unit and investigators from the State Attorneys Office are at the scene investigating and are working to identify the victim and find potential witnesses in the neighborhood.
