Jacksonville police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the parking lot of a Northwest Jacksonville bank, and then shot at the two suspects.
It happened outside of the Bank of America on Moncrief Road, shortly after 11AM today. JSO says the victim pulled in to the parking lot, and two black male suspects ran up and stabbed him. Police say the victim warded off the suspects by retrieving a gun and shooting at them.
JSO says one of the suspects got in to an older, black pick-up with a white female inside. They hit another vehicle while fleeing, but JSO says the person in that car was not hurt.
It’s unclear at this time why the victim pulled in to that parking lot, but JSO says the bank was not robbed, nor were any customers or employees injured.
The two suspects drove off in a black vehicle, and have not been found yet. Police say it doesn’t appear they were hurt in the shooting. The victim is being treated at a local hospital. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/sTNEOpmBNC
