A 16-year-old was shot in the abdomen in the 1500 block of South Lane Avenue.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the teen is in serious, but not life-threatening condition. The teen was talking and alert while on the way to the hospital.
The teen was standing in front of a business complex when he was shot.
Officers found a gun half-covered in water in a drain, but cannot say if it is the gun that was used in the shooting that wounded the teen.
