Police in Jacksonville looking for woman bank robbery suspect

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman they said robbed a bank in the San Marco area Friday morning, before taking off on foot on Hendricks Avenue.

The inicident happened at the Chase Bank located at 1515 Atlantic Boulevard.

JSO said the woman demanded money from the clerk, the clerk complied and she left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officials said she had a black rag around one of her hands and communicated that she had a weapon underneath.

A witness reportedly followed her a short distance where she removed  a black jacket, black pants and white shoes she was wearing.

The suspect is described as a black woman last seen wearing a multi-colored turquoise and gray jacket, blue pants and white flats.

There were two employees inside the bank at the time.

Landon Middle School was put on a Code Yellow lockdown, but it has since been lifted.
