Here are the latest updates of what’s happening at polling places across Florida and Georgia:

12:33 p.m.: Computer issue delayed voting in Central Florida county

CNN reports that in Broward County, a computer problem prevented voting at polling places for about 20 minutes after polls opened, local officials said.

Broward County Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott encouraged voters who arrived this morning but did not get to cast a vote before the problem was fixed to return before the polls close at 7 p.m.

11:52 a.m.: Some Duval County polling locations experience power outages, tabulator issues

Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland told Action News Jax that some polling places experienced power outages and tabulation issues on Tuesday morning.

A tabulator, the machine used to count ballots, unexpectedly broke at the Community Presbyterian Church polling location in Atlantic Beach.

Instead of turning voters away on Election Day, Holland explained that poll workers followed protocol, which is to instruct the voter to put the ballot into the emergency slot on the machine, which drops it into a separate locked compartment that will only be opened after polls close.

After polls close at 7 p.m., those ballots will be fed into the machine by poll workers. Voters are encouraged to return to the polling location in the evening to watch their ballot be counted.

Two other polling locations, the Regency Square Branch Library and The Church of Eleven22 Arlington campus, faced issues that were quickly resolved.

Both locations lost power before polls opened due to a wider outage in Jacksonville’s Regency area, which affected more than 5,000 customers. Poll workers quickly resolved the issue, bringing in generators to power the machines.

11:44 a.m.: Central Florida county has to move polling places due to flooding

A Central Florida county had to move several of its polling places due to extreme flooding.

Action News Jax sister station WFTV in Orlando reports that the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office said the changes are being made for the safety of voters and election workers.

Brevard is one of the seven counties that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared an emergency for Monday due to the flooding, WFTV reports.
