JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local man is representing himself in his trial for the shooting death of 14-year-old girl.
The judge asked Bryan Goggins several times inside the courtroom Thursday if he wanted to be reappointed an attorney, but Goggins said "no," he will continue to represent himself.

The judge advised him that it wasn't a wise decision and that at any time he may reappoint an attorney to represent Goggins.
Goggins walked into the courtroom shortly after 10:30 a.m. wearing a dark blue suit with his hair was tied up.
He is accused of killing Tamia Sanders back in August 2016.
Police say the 14-year-old and three others were shot during an argument at a small party in Brentwood.
They say Goggins fired into the group of people.
It happened two days before Tamia was supposed to start her freshman year at Lee High School.
Police tracked down Goggins at a Tallahassee apartment complex where he was arrested after a standoff with U.S. marshals.

At trial, the evidence the state has presented includes cellphone records and how they correlated with the case.
The judge called a crime scene analyst with JSO to the stand to talk about those cell phone records and how they correlated with the case.
The state attorney's office told Action News Jax the state should be wrapping up its case Thursday and closing arguments are expected Friday.
