Man accused of masturbating at Nassau County beach

A Camden County man was arrested after witnesses claimed they saw him masturbating on a Nassau County beach in Oct. 2018.

Raymond Martz was charged with exposure of sexual organs.

REPORT: Nassau County man stabs woman over undercooked potato

On Oct. 12, a Nassau County Sheriff's Office deputy was dispatched to the Main Beach Access point in Fernandina Beach. A female had reported that a man was on the beach with his shorts pulled to the side, deputies said in a report.

The report said that Martz appeared to be touching himself and that the woman "could see his genitals."

Kids were nearby but didn't see the act, the witness told deputies.

Martz told deputies that he was only adjusting his shorts. Later, during an interview, Martz admitted having his genitals exposed but said it was "to air it them out," the report said.

Martz was released after being interviewed.
