BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man stepped before a judge, trembled, cried and then fainted as he was about to face a lengthy prison sentence for attempting to meet a 5-year-old girl for sex.
The Butler Eagle reports 45-year-old David Ellenberger was sentenced Tuesday to 25 to 50 years in prison.

Authorities arrested the Summit Township man when he arrived at a prearranged location expecting to meet the girl and her father. In reality, he had been corresponding on the phone and in text messages with an agent posing as the girl's father.
Butler County Judge William Shaffer says Ellenberger is a sexually violent predator who must register his whereabouts with state police for the rest of his life.
