RELATED STORY: 1 dead, 2 girls injured in fiery, head-on collision on Wonderwood Bridge
A teen and a young girl are recovering after a deadly crash.
The two-car crash happened on the Wonderwood Bridge in the Mayport area just before 1 a.m.
Police say the driver in the other car died.
"I just sprint into action," said Julian Jordan, a hospital corpsman with Navy Station Mayport who said he quickly rushed to help a man and two girls, just moments before a car burst into flames and exploded.

"We did everything that we could," he said.
Jordan said he moved a 10-year-old away from the burning car.
He said he also performed CPR on the man who was driving it.
Police said the man was traveling the wrong way on the Wonderwood Bridge, and got into a head-on crash with a Volkswagen.
Officers said a teenage girl was driving the 10-year-old. They were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the wrong-way driver died at the hospital.
While it’s still unclear why the driver was going the wrong way, Jordan wants the man’s family to know they tried to help.
"Everyone there was truly trying their best, doing everything they could to save his life," he said.
