A woman is fighting back against her neighbor, who started a petition to have her three dogs removed from their Middleburg neighborhood.
Sallie Parmer owns three bullshire terriers. She says they are not aggressive, and Animal Control has confirmed it.
Parmer's neighbor Maureen Shulenburg claims the dogs are viscous and that one killed her 7-year-old Chihuahua.
A report from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office says there have been complaints about the dogs attacking other animals.
Shulenburg said she started an online petition on Monday to have the dogs removed from the neighborhood after calling animal control every day for two weeks.
She said animal control told her they can’t do anything unless the dogs attack a person. She plans to bring the petition to a formal hearing.
She also planted a poster in her yard that reads “vicious killer” and lists Parmer's address.
Parmer started her counter petition on Saturday. She says her dogs have been given a bad reputation and deserve to stay at their home.
