Jacksonville, Fl — Much colder air is going to fill in throughout the day. Thursday’s high temperature hit 76, and by late today we’ll be nearly 30 degrees lower.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says colder air will deepen across the area. It’s going to be cloudy with some light drizzle and rain at times, but there will be plenty of dry hours today.

Awfully cold rain builds by tonight into early Saturday, when we won’t even get out of the 40s. Rain will gradually diminish in the afternoon so we may get a few breaks for sunshine.
An inland freeze is likely early Sunday but at least it’s going to be sunny. With breezy conditions our temperatures will only reach the mid-50s.
The return to work and school starts cold with another inland freeze possible early Monday. Temps rebound to the low 60s both Monday and Tuesday.
Good morning! Big changes ahead starting today. Many mild out the door - we turn cooler through the day with rain on the way!
