Police have been tight-lipped about the case.

There has been no word of officers being any closer to an arrest and it is why one mom who lives there says she is now considering moving out.

Ramya Garaga and her 6-year-old son livenext to the building where the shooting happened.

“I’m thinking that I want to move,’ Garaga explained.

JSO got a call about shots fired just before five p.m. Friday and when they got there they found a woman's body inside.

“I’m not letting my kids out,” added Garaga.

It was the second person to be fatally shot off Gate Parkway in the past week.

The first slaying happened just a mile away at Century at Deerwood Park apartments where a 25-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot.

“The Gate Parkway just a few years back, it was the very safest place but now I saw so many incidents like this one and one near to our community,” Garaga said.
