New nonstop flights under $100 to Las Vegas, other cities coming to JIA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — You’re going to want to wait before you book your next flight because you just might snag a better deal, with less travel time.

Breeze Airways flights are coming to Jacksonville where it will launch nonstop service to eight cities including Las Vegas, and all for less than $100 one way.

You’re gonna want to wait before you book your next flight because you just might snag a better deal, with less travel time.

“That is usually one of the areas we get most concerns about, ‘Why don’t you have nonstop service to - name a city?’” said Michael Stewart, Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s Director of External Affairs.

But now JIA is welcoming Breeze Airways, a new airline from JetBlue founder David Neeleman, to bridge that gap.

“We go nonstop to places where other airlines don’t travel,” said Brain McCormick, Director of Airport Properties at Breeze Airways.

You’ll also be able to fly onboard new Airbus A220′s.

You’re going to notice they range from $39 up to $79.

“We are very careful about how we spend our money, and we try and keep things lean and efficient,”

Aminah Ali is used to traveling from Jacksonville. “I take lots of flights from out of here,” she remarked. And after learning about new flights coming soon, “I’m gonna add a lot more,” she said.

Ali was here waiting to board her flight to San Juan, but she’s planning her first trip to Las Vegas.

“I’m going sometime next year so hopefully by that time I’ll be able to do something through here.”

And airport officials expect others to join too.

“This is an extremely exciting time, as we come out of COVID, people wanna travel,” Stewart explained. “This gives them many more options.”
