Jacksonville, Fla. — After years of construction, we’re getting a look at what the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Southside Boulevard will look like once work is complete.
Drivers will navigate a new traffic pattern, which will include what the Florida Department of Transportation calls a MUT, or a Median U-Turn intersection.
The new design along the Southside corridor is meant to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and improve safety, according to FDOT.
Drivers will see new traffic lights and new ways to get to Newell Boulevard and Eve Drive.
This project began in November 2021 at a cost of $6 million.
Work is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2023.
