The Golden Corral in Palatka was the only restaurant shut down during a week of health inspections. It had sewage or wastewater backing up through the kitchen drains, a box of raw chicken liver not properly separated from other items in the fridge and sliders too cold to serve. It was temporarily shut down until the restaurant could address all of its issues.
An inspector at Duchene’s Breakfast and More in Lake City found dead roaches in the storage/electrical room, saw two employees not following hand wash protocol and saw chicken that wasn’t sold or consumed within seven days of preparing it. A follow-up inspection is required.
At Missy’s Kitchen in Yulee, a health inspector found biscuits not protected from contamination, cold food held too warm and warm food held too cold.
