The Baker County Sheriffs Office have arrested Seth and Crystal Baker for child neglect with bodily harm after their 1-year-old son consumed an unknown amount of morphine pills.

The child was left in the care of the father on Saturday, while the mother left with her boyfriend. When the couple returned, the father appeared to be in a stupor sort of state and the child was lethargic, bumping into furniture and walking clumsily, according to the police report.

There was also a blue-like substance around the child's mouth. The father told Baker's boyfriend that he left his morphine pills in his cigarettes pack and some of the pills had been noticeably chewed.

The living room of the home was in disarray and in deplorable conditions, said Baker County police.

When Baker's boyfriend began to call 911, the father ran out the back door of the residence to hide.

He was found in an abandoned camper behind the home, where he was arrested by Baker County police.

The mother fled the scene of the hospital her son was taken to, and was found at a Red Roof Inn. Baker had active local and out of county warrants.

Both parents will also be charged with resisting without violence. The father will be charged with two counts of a controlled substance and violation of injunction.
