Person killed by train in Clay County

The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Clay County.

The  Clay County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred at the intersection of Doctors Lake Drive and Woodland Drive.

The train was an Amtrak train. Amtrak said the incident happened at 7:59 a.m. Thursday while 329 passengers were on the train, which was en route to Sanford, Fla.
