The gunshots were believed to be coming from the rear parking lot where a silver Jeep Cherokee was located.

Officers positioned themselves at the park exit to help visitors leave safely and intercept any suspects.

While doing so, GCPD says a person, later identified as Delan Genardo Burton, began to shoot into the air from a silver Chevrolet Impala. The handgun he was using was stolen, GCPD says.

Burton was detained and charged with theft by receiving stolen property, reckless conduct, discharging a firearm near a public street, open container and DUI.
