Prostitution sting on Philips Highway in Jacksonville nets several arrests

Jacksonville, Fla. — Citizen complaints prompted the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to conduct a prostitution sting along Philips Highway.

According to arrest reports, JSO’s vice unit went to the 4200 block of Philips Highway on Monday, Dec. 12, with an undercover officer posing as a prostitute.


When the officer was approached, a takedown signal was given and the suspects were arrested.

Among them was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service.

The following men were arrested on charges of soliciting prostitution:

  • Barbaro Rodriguez Gonzalez, 36
  • Canuto Ventra-Perez, 24
  • Eduardo Manuel Fernandez Calistre, 36
  • Gabriel Lopez, 27
  • Pedro Gomez, 28
  • Kristopher Allen, 47
  • Carl Montague, 56
