FHP: Woman killed after truck strikes pole in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A woman is dead after the pickup truck she was driving collided with a power-line pole early Tuesday in Putnam County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. on County Road 309 north of Fort Gates Ferry Road.

FHP said the 36-year-old Pomona Park woman was going around a curve and drove into a ditch, hitting the pole.

The woman was ejected from the truck and died from her injuries.

Troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt.
