PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said a man died after being hit by a garbage truck at 6 a.m. on US Highway 17 at Comfort Road in Putnam County Thursday morning.
The man has been identified by as Eric Edenfield, 32, of Palatka.
According to the FHP report, Edenfield was walking southbound on US Highway 17, when he was struck from behind by a garbage truck.
