As of July 11, at least 90 people have gotten sick in 26 different states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency also said 40 of those people had to go to a hospital. Four of those cases were here in Florida.

Some local shoppers Action News Jax spoke to said they didn't know about the outbreak.

Action News Jax Courtney Cole showed one of the shoppers a list of some of the items affected.

One shopper named Carl Elker said now that he knows about this, he will take a closer look at what he’s putting into his cart.

Action News Jax is working with the health department in St. Johns County to find out if any of the four cases in Florida happened there.
