The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department has reported a single engine plan has crashed in the front yard of a home of the Herlong neighborhood in Jacksonville.
According to JFRD, the crash occurred in the 2300 block of Sharon Lake Drive.
JFRD said that no one is hurt and the crash presents no hazards at this time, so they are turning the investigation over to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The plane was a 1956 Cessna 182 according to FAA reports.
JSO said that the plane was attempting an emergency landing when the crash occurred.
The FAA has not arrived on scene, but is taking over the investigation, according to JSO.
