Single father’s home burglarized twice

Jacksonville, FL. — A single father on the Westside is perplexed after he says his house was targeted twice by burglars.

Niam Jones says his house was first targeted on November 19.

He was at work when his Ring doorbell system sent him a notification on his phone, and he watched as three young men broke into his home through a back window, making away with thousands of dollars worth of electronics.

Jones tells Action News Jax he was then targeted again -- this time, early morning December 2nd.

Jones says his motion detector alerted him at about 1:30 a.m. and he watched who he believes are the same three young men from the first burglary walk up to his driveway.

By the time he got out, he tells Action News Jax, his 2013 grey Toyota Camry was gone from the driveway.

Jones tells Action News Jax he filed two police reports with JSO.
