The Candy Apple Café & Cocktails has closed its doors in downtown Jacksonville.
Today the company said they could not overcome the revenue loss from the building being closed. The building is closed due to ongoing renovation. It shut down in early August for maintenance.
The other tenant sharing the historic building, Sweet Pete's, will be reopening once the renovations are complete.
The owners said in a Facebook post Thursday, “Opening and operating such a unique, out-of-the-box restaurant in the heart of our city’s urban core – and growing it to be a destination that was loved by people of all ages – was an incredible experience, and one we will always cherish.”
