There's gas for under $2 in Jacksonville right now

The gas price wars on Beach Blvd. has finally led to some $1.99 gas.

The Mobil 1 station in the 12000 block of Beach Blvd. had regular 87 octane for under $2 on Thursday afternoon. Other stations, like the Murphy USA and Wawa, also had gas under $2.03.

CBS News reported Thursday that gas prices have fallen seven weeks in a row and are at their lowest levels of the year.

"Many states will see prices continue to decline," Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, told CBS News.

Oil prices were below $50 a barrel at one point on Thursday. Around 20 states now have gas under $2 gallon.
