JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The world’s largest crowdfunding event proved to be quite the success.
Organizers announced final attendance numbers in a press conference Monday morning and say the third annual One Spark broke records.
Three hundred twenty thousand people attended the festival in downtown Jacksonville between Tuesday and Sunday.
Last year, about 260,000 people came to One Spark, according to organizers.
More than $100,000 was raised this year.
Officials say the 2015 festival broke attendance records across the board.
“(It’s like) if you take everybody in EverBank Stadium and just pick up all the people and drop them into downtown and have them say, ‘Hey I'm going to just hang out here for the weekend,’” said Elton Rivas with One Spark.
