U.S. Postal Service announces new prices for 2019

The United States Postal Service announced new prices that will take effect Jan. 27.

According to USPS, the prices would raise mailing services by 2.5 percent.

Shipping services price increases will vary by product, USPS says.

A few of the price increases include:

  • Letters (1 ounce): Going from $0.50 to $0.55
  • Small flat rate box: Going from $7.20 to $7.90
  • Regular flat rate envelope: Going from $6.70 to $7.35
