Students and parents told Action News the incident started with a fight that happened at First Coast High School between two groups of kids. They said the shooting that took Johnson's life was in retaliation for that fight.
Another person was also taken to the hospital after being shot at the party on Dawnridge Road.
More than 100 students and parents met for a vigil Sunday night in honor of Johnson. It was reported that one student couldn't breathe during the vigil and was taken to the hospital.
Students are reportedly having a tough time dealing with Johnson's death. There will be counselors on hand at First Coast High School for any student struggling with the tragedy.
