“We are doing everything we can” Duval SOE prepares for voting in a pandemic in August, November

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — We are now about 36 days out for the Primary Election in August and 113 days out from the General Election in November.

Action News Jax’s Courtney Cole spoke to the Duval County Supervisor of Elections about what’s being done to keep voters and poll workers safe. She also explains what you need to know about mail-in ballot voting.

Duval County voters, here are a few quick facts you need to know:

  • Primary Election: Aug. 18
  • General Election: Nov. 3
  • Early voting starts Aug. 3
  • Duval Co. Supervisor of Elections has already sent out all the mail-in ballots; total number of mail-in ballots sent is about 75,000.
  • There are 18 early voting sites in Duval County and 199 voting precincts.
