JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Southeastern Grocers, the parent company to grocery stores like Winn Dixie are collecting donations for those affected by Hurricane Dorian.
The deadly storm ripped through the Bahamas -- hitting the islands as a category 5 storm on Sunday before slowly moving up the east coast of Florida, Georgia and soon the Carolinas.
To help those in need, shoppers can visit any Winn Dixie or Harveys Supermarket locations in the North Florida area to make a monetary donation.
The donations will go directly to the American Red Cross' Disaster Relief program who will use the money to provide food, shelter and other needed assistance to affected families.
