Wire down after transformer failed at Kernan and Atlantic Boulevard intersection

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A wire was reported down on Kernan Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard.

According to JEA, 470 customers are affected by this outage, and the traffic lights are out in both directions of Atlantic Boulevard. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is directing traffic in the area while JEA crews fix the wire and replace the failed transformer.

JEA has replaced the transformer and the traffic signals are up and running.
