JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: JFRD investigating death connected to apartment fire
A woman was found dead inside an apartment that caught fire, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
JFRD: Called here around 12:30 after reports of smoke coming from an apt. Found woman alone inside this unit dead. Neighbor says she lives alone & is in a wheelchair. State fire marshal’s office & JSO brought in to investigate. @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/hsMoV8PsiW

On Wednesday at about 12:30p.m., JFRD received a call of smoke coming from an Avesta Grande Point apartment. A woman was found dead inside.
