Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh spent a couple of days in Fort Myers Beach 6 months after the wrath of Ian pounded much of Southwest Florida. He found that people are trying to put their lives back together piece by piece and that the recovery often includes donations and especially volunteers.

One of the organizations helping to feed the construction workers and storm survivors is “FK Your Diet” – the FK is for Foster Kids (5% of all sales at FK Your Diet restaurants across South Florida are donated to foster kid’s programs). All of the food is being made and delivered by volunteers while the food is being paid for by donations.

FK Your Diet has provided 350,000 free meals to residents of Fort Myers Beach. You can get more information and donate at FKYOURDIET.com.
