Orange Park police identify vehicle involved in Lynyrd Skynrd memorabilia theft

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — Orange Park Police Department released security footage of a car taking off with $10,000 worth of Lynyrd Skynrd memorabilia.

It happened in the parking lot of a Days Inn off Eldridge Avenue on Friday, April 9. Images show a White male wearing a baseball cap, hook a trailer to his silver SUV. Police believe the car is a Acura MDX with a rear wheel on the driver-side that is different from the rest of the car.

The items inside were going to be auctioned off at a charity event for cancer patients the next day.

Detectives said they want to get the stolen items back so they can be sold the way they were intended.
